Cuban writer Wendy Guerra for I Can Too


Cuban writer Wendy Guerra became supporter and ambassador of good will for I Can Too.
Influenced by her own hard childhood, she supports the ideas of I Can Too in help of children with disabilities in Bulgaria.

Recently Wendy came to Bulgaria to present her first novel "Everyone goes away". It is awarded by
Bruguera for novel of 2006, still not published in Cuba.

I Can Too Won the Award “The Best Campaign for 2010”






Workshop For Civc Initiatives Foundation (WCIF) awarded in a ceremony on July 1 the best charity campaigns in Grand Hotel Sofia.

The awards “Together “ 2010 are presented for a fifth consecutive year.
 
I Can Too won the award “The best campaign of 2010”.

I CAN TOO DEDICATES THIS AWARD TO ALL ITS PARTNERS AND SUPPORTERS! WE THANK ALL WHO ARE PART OF THE INITIATIVE AND HELPING THE CHILDREN IN NEED!

I Can Too (ICT) was nominated in two of the four categories – “The best campaign of NGO” and for “The best campaign for 2010”, in which a huge number of non government organizations were nominated as well.

The goal of the awards “Together” is to abet institutions and individuals involved in the initiatives of raising funds for socially important causes. These awards are provoked by the WCIF’s aspiration to promote the good Bulgarian practices for fund raising. Happy is the tendency that donor initiatives are becoming more professional and focused, and are achieving visible results, leading to increase social responsibility of the Bulgarians.

Members of the jury were: CEO of SEM Geaorgi Lozanov, Dima Chakarova from the “Program Media Group”, the journalist from BNT - Ekaterina Genova, Elena Beikova and Prolet Velkova from “Darik” radio, Lili Todorova from informational agency “BLITS”, PR expert Maksim Behar, CEO State Agnecy for Child Protection - Nadia Shabani, Nevena Coneva from office furniture “OPT”, Deputy Director of the Financial Supervision Commission Ralitsa Again and the journalist from BNR – Cveta Shopova.

Tony is a supporter and goodwill embassador of  I Can Too. She and her musicians Krasi Tododrov (D2 band), Rosen Vatev and Radoslav Slavchev dedicate the song “HOW LONG?” to the iniciative for integrating the children with disabilities in the society. The single already got the admiration of the Bulgarian audience and has the promise to become a world hit. 
Apart from its Brit sounding, the song fascinates with its social orientation, which perceives in the text. 

There is so much destruction and despair in the world. Each of us must make a decision and then take personal responsibility to bring light into the lives of others. The one that helps other, is like diamond, giving a hand to other gems to come out of the darkness and shine a par with others. "- the singer tells in her song. 

The purpose of the single is to raise funds for the current main goal of I Can Too - Centre for Children with Autism in Plovdiv city. The video of the song will be the carrier and the distributor of the SMS numbers: 14 15 for fund raising.
By sending sms with word Toni at number 14 15, You can download the song and donate 1.20 BGN for children with disabilities.

The video was shot on March 27th in “Sklada” – a really unique place that the owners gave gratuitously to I Can Too for the shooting. The crue that made the video shooting possible got involved by absolut charity:

- Director of the video – Vasko Stefanov;
- Operator - Vladimir Mihailov;
- Voktor Dimchev (Travel TV) – motion picture equipment and set crue ;
- For the makeup took care – the main makeup artists of Max Factor – Slav and Ani Andreeva;
- The stailing was provided by the Fashion editor of MODA megazine – Huben Hubenov.

The video will suprise the audience by its interesting script. Behind the camera, beside the pop singer and her band, stood a number of popular people among who were: the incredible ballet-dancer Margarita Budinova, the boy-band 032, Vesela Boneva and Svetlio, the musicians from Stereo Room – Krista, Mona and Boian, Yavor Zahariev, the dancer Raul Toress, Titi Papazov, the cabaret actress Elena Kostova and the actors Gergana Pletniova and Georgi Nikolov.
 

In the mass scene, shot at the end of the video, fans and supporters of the initiative are wearing T-shirts I Can Too and sing along with Tony, in support of children with disabilities.

The song “I Can Too” by D2 band with the original participation of Slash, Matt Sorum (Guns N’ Roses, Velevet Revolver) и Lanny Cordola


World famous musicians Slash, Matt Sorum (Guns N 'Roses, Velevet Revolver) and the guitarist and record producer Lanny Cordola chose rock musicians of D2 to produce the Bulgarian version of the song "Hands Together". It was created to raise funds to help Haiti. They donate it now to I Can Too in support of the initiative "You and Me together for Haiti”.
The idea of the global rock stars is to find bands from different countries all over the world to create their own versions of the song, which subsequently will be produced in America.
Bulgarian song version is called "I Can Too" and will be delivered exclusively on Radio Z-Rock on March 19, 2010.

Matt and Lanny are faces of  I Can Too, goodwill ambassadors of the Foundation in America and zealous defenders of human rights.

The purpose of the song "I Can Too" is to continue to raise funds for the fourth largest city in Haiti - Jacmel which is the cultural capital of the country. Matt Sorum (Guns N’ Roses) Said: I Can Too


 

The world-famous rock drummer Matt Sorum – known for one of the greatest bands from the 90s Guns N’ Roses and his present band Velvet Revolver – became a fervour supporter of I Can Too. 

Alex Todorov (Ambassador of I Can Too in USA) – brother of D2 band’s piano player and Mixing engineer in Matt’s studios – introduced one evening in a rock club in LA the president of the foundation Nelly Radeva with a few musicians among which Matt Sorum, the bass-player of The Cult – Chris Wise and others.
There Matt showed a great interest in I Can Too and invited Nelly to a swimming pool party in his house, organized for 4th of July – The Independence Day of America. 

Among the guests of the party were the girls from rock band Darling Stilettos - whose leader Ace Harper is a girlfriend of Matt Sorum as well as some other new bands. They all showed interest in I Can Too and willingness to support the initiative when visiting Bulgaria.

At the party Matt and Nelly discussed future co-operation and initiatives in which the drummer could be engaged for the cause. Even there in his house rose the idea for spontaneous photo session in support of I Can Too that took place in Matt’s own studio – Drac Studio in Los Angelis (www.mattsorum.com).
In Drac Studio one of the most serious supporters of I Can Too – D2 band – recorded their last album “6”.

Strongly affected and inspired by I Can Too, Matt decided to visit Bulgaria very soon. Till then he’ll work on future surprises involving the initiative. Thus the musician will show that the problems of children with multiple disabilities, their popularizing and support by means of art is a world cause and we all should join together to it.

Not Welcome Here / I Tuk Ne Moga is part of the initiative: "Bulgaria - accessible for everyone. I Can Too" which long-term goal is:
- to integrate the children with disabilities in the society;
- to make Bulgaria accessible for them.

I Can Too created stickers with tthe sign Not Welcome Here / I Tuk Ne Moga with which to be marked the social places without accessibility for disabled people.

I Can Too in Partnership with Company "ENKOREKT"




In May 2009 started the initiative "Bulgaria - Accessible for Everyone. I Can Too" with which the foundation appeal to the business, the politics, state and private institutions and organizations to take part in the solving of the problem with the inaccessibility of the cities in Bulgaria for disabled children.

The new partner of I Can Too - "ENKOREKT" provides ramps, lifts and platforms. The company aims are to make every building accessible for the needs of people with disabilities by providing a delivery, installation, service and maintenance of full range of ramps, lifts and platforms.

If you want to buy such appliance for a school, University or a building in your city, contact the new partner of I Can Too - ENKOREKT.

Five percents (5 %) of each sold appliance for improvement of the infrastructure of the cities in Bulgaria goes in support of children with multiple disabilities.

Politikal Organization GERB in Support of I Can Too


GERB are the first political organization that took part in the initiative: "Bulgaria - Accessible for Everyone. I Can Too".

At pressconference with the same name on May 25th in Grand Hotel Sofia, famous people who support I Can Too, among which: Iskra Angelova ("Polet nad Noshta" / "Night Birds" - BNT), Dido (D2 band - vocal), pop singer Orlin PavlovSvilen (Ostava band - vocal), Viki (Mastilo band - vocal), Kolio Karamfilov (artist) - chained themselves in wheel-chairs and appeal to the business, the politics, the state institutions and private organizations to get involved with the solution of the problem of the inaccessibility of Bulgaria for the people with disabilities.

With GERB for I Can Too the organization declares It's involvement and support  of  children and people with disabilities and the new initiative of I Can Too foundation.

From 3rd of July start the project plans of GERB - Contractors and GERB - Women.
Their aim is to improve Bulgarian infrastructure by building ramps, elevators and other appliances for the needs of people with disabilities in schools, nursery schools, libraries, Universities in Bulgaria.

That way, GERB will make a step forward  Bulgaria to become an equal member of the Europian Union - having  right the attitude and taking care of It's most unprivileged members of the society - people with disabilities.

Initiative: Bulgaria - Accessible for Everyone. I Can Too


National initiative I CAN TOO have for long-term goal to integrate children with disabilities in the society.The newest project of I CAN TOO tends to find talents among the children with disabilities and also to make Bulgaria accessible for them.
With this new vision, I CAN TOO aims:

1. From one side to present Its new talent - Rosen Karamfilov.
He never stops to dream and believe that he “CAN achieve everything he wants.” 


2. From the other side I CAN TOO is trying to provoke the community to think about one permanent problem – the inaccessibility of cities for people with disabilities.

The poet Toma Markov said:

These words combine very well the two aspects of this initiative: first, that nothing can stop the fly of dreams and the second – the social one that presents the reality people with disabilities face with every day.

Initiative: Talents. I Can Too


"Do not remain dumb, deaf and blind for the talents of children with disabilities" is the appeal in the initiative of I Can Too.

The three faces of Art project "Triumviratus": the writer - Georgi Tenev, the producer - Yavor Gardev and the scenographer - Nikola Toromanov gave start to this initiative in search of talents among children with disabilities.
In front of  the camera of the photographer Ivan Kolovos they pose in unambiguous composition - imitating the indifference of the society to see in these children future artists.

The poet Toma Markov - A Golden Medal Laureate of Europen Akademy for Poetry - gave the slogan of this project:

          "Take a look around too se the beauty:
           Attention! It's everywhere
".

The initiative began in Maj 11 and has no dead line.

Mihail Shishkin - The new Face of I Can Too


One of the most talented writers on the Russian literature stage and only winner of the three most prestigious prizes for modern Russian novel (the Russian “Booker”, “National bestseller” and “The big book”) – Mihail Shishkin joins the national initiative I Can Too.

His compassion to the most damaged people of a society – the children with disabilities, makes him participate in a photo session in support of the gratuitous cause.

The photo session is a part of the initiative “People for I CAN TOO”. There are more than 50 famous Bulgarian people as well as some world-famous ones among who is the Hollywood star Dolph Lundgren, the sculptor Igor Ustinov (a son of the fabulous actor Sir Peter Ustinov).

During the London Book Fair Mihail Shishkin appears on the poster representing the Russian literature week by his picture of the photo session for I CAN TOO. By this he announces his support of the initiative outside the boundaries of Bulgaria.

Ostava band made an unique accoustic concert in club Chervilo - part of the initiative Chervilo for I Can Too.

Many admirers of the band and friends of I Can Too came to see the charity live.
A multimedia made specially for the occasion by VJ Jagama contribute to the magnetic atmosphere in the club.

Ostava band supports the initiative from the very beginning when initiative was found.
They dedicated a song to I Can Too called "Rabotno vreme". The video was made by Magardich Halvadjian with the participation of the choir of children with visual problems and the football legend Krasimir Balakov.  

In 2008 the front man of the band – Svilen Noev participate in photosession with T-shirt I Can Too - part of the initiative “People for I can Too”.
This year the social oriented band include in the initiative – “The Hold” and participate in a special photosession. The musicians were with the new T-shirts I Can Too.

One of the greatest Bulgarian stars – the singer Beloslava and the pianist Jivko Petrov made an incredible live performance in Sofia club Chervilo.
The musicians took part in the initiative Chervilo for I Can Too and dedicate their concert in support of children with disabilities.
The magic of their music fascinates all guests in the party. The unique intimacy between Beloslava and Jivko Petrov made this event unforgettable for all guests.

The party was beautifully accompanied by a special for the occasion multimeda by VJ Yagama.
During the concert Beloslava was with the newest T-Shirt of I Can Too.



D2 - one of the best Bulgarian rock bands made series of life performances dedicated to I Can Too.
The members of the group are wearing T-shirts I Can Too during the concerts.

When You Take Off Your Vanity, the Only Thing That Lasts IS YOU! / I CAN TOO


Rock band D2 continues to support I Can Too foundation.
The front man of the band - Dido helps not only by his art, but took part in the final working process of the building of Medical Centre I Can Too for Children with disabilities.


It is not important to give only our faces in support of the initiative I Can Too, which we believe in, - said the vocalist of the band – it is important to forget about our vanity and to help indeed!”.  

The musician was accompanied by the poet Toma Markov who also shows his social engagement by responding to the initiatives of the foundation. 

“When I took off my vanity, I put on some working clothes and helped. You can too…” was his appeal. 

A few days before the opening of the Centre, along with Dido and Toma in the completing stage of the building took part Ivan Kolovos – the photographer who supports the foundation from one year - in front of whose camera stood over 40 popular people, upholding I Can Too.

The Hollywood star Dolph Lundgren gave his support for children with disabilities by taking part in the photosession with T-shirts I Can Too.

The participation of rock band D2 in the newest movie of the actor and their willing to support I Can Too foundation in all initiatives, make possible this photosession.

Over 40 popular people such as the football star Krasimir Balakov, bands D2 and Ostava, Teodosii Spasov, Ivan lechev, etc. took part in this campaign and support the creation of Medical Centre I Can Too for Children with Disabilitis in Students' Town, Sofia.

Hairdressing saloon "Milen Vasilev" supports I Can Too


The hairdressing saloon "Milen Vasilev" is the first saloon in Bulgaria that supports I Can Too initiative for creation of Medical Centre for Children with Disabilities in students Town.

There could be bought accessories I Can Too, financing the Medical Centre.

T-shirts I Can Too are part of the initiative of I CAN TOO Foundation for integration of children with disabilities in the society.

On June 3rd foundation "Children with Problems in Development" and I CAN TOO Foundation open Medical Center I CAN TOO for Children with Disabilities  in Students Town, block 11, Sofia.

Photosession of people popular in their branches, wearing T-shirts I Can Too, gave start to this initiative.

The goal of this initiative is with the support of the whole society, funds to be raised for the finishing of the Medical Center.

Rock Band D2 Start the Initiative “Art for I Can Too“ of I CAN TOO Foundation for Integration of Children with Multiple Disabilities in the Society

The idea of the initiative "Art for I Can Too" is through the help of the artists who support it to reach out to as big a part of society as possible.

By developing of the initiative, the foundation is turning towards the fashion means of expression in order to engage society with the problems of those children through aesthetics.

In this sense we prepared a special Gift Guide in our website where everybody can purchase a gift for themselves and their friends, helping in the same time the children with disabilities. 

The support of the rock band D2 for the creation of the Day Care Centre for Children with Multiple Disabilities does not end with the Charity Accousitc Concert on December 17th 2007. It is important for D2 what happens to these children, therefore they shot a photo session with T-shirts I Can Too, with gave start to the initiative "Art for I Can Too" . The initiative started on February 14th – the celebration of St Valentine.

All gathered funds are for the finishing of Medical Center I Can Too for children with disabilities in Students town,block 11, Sofia.
