JAKE GREENSPAN AT THE I CAN TOO CENTER FOR AUTISTIC CHILDREN

The American expert in the field of autism – Jake Greenspan visited Bulgaria for a second time to train specialists working in the I CAN TOO Center for Autistic Children in the city of Plovdiv, and to present The Greenspan Floortime Approach to a wider audience.

Impressed by the activities of the Center, which is the only one in Bulgaria that applies the Greenspan Floortime Approach, Jake worked with the team of professionals to develop their practical skills.

Jake Greenspan held an open lecture for parents, professionals, and the media presenting his successful methodology.

Just a year after the opening of the I CAN TOO Center more than 30 children with autism have received an appropriate therapy. Thanks to The Greenspan Floortime Approach, I CAN TOO helped for the progress of the children in three main areas – physical regulation, emotional development and intellectual cognition.

The Greenspan Floortime Approach have positively affected thousands of children with autistic spectrum disorder worldwide. The therapy was introduced for the first time in Bulgaria in 2016 when Jake Greenspan visited the Center for Autistic Children by invitation of I CAN TOO Foundation.

The introduction and the practicing of the therapy in Bulgaria by I CAN TOO has contributed greatly for the improvement of lives of many children and their families across the country.

Jake Greenspan is a son of the inventor of The Greenspan Floortime Approach – Dr. Stanley Greenspan (1941-2010). Jake is a founder of The Floortime Center in the USA where he and his team work with autistic children and their families. Greenspan actively organises trainings, he is a guest and a mentor of many organisations worldwide. He has trained more than one hundred therapists, dozens of specialists, and supports the opening of centers in East Europe and South America.
